Whether you are a beginner,have some experience or want to sew professionally and want to learn some advanced sewing techniques, I offer sewings lessons for all abilities.
Classes are limited to 2 per class and take place at my studio.Bring your own sewing machine and specific fabric and matching thread to make your garment. I supply other tools and haberdashery-more information given at booking.
Beginners Sewing Lessons - Suits new to sewing
You will create your first Garment!2 hour Lesson
Learn the basic skills you need to sew
You will learn to read a pattern
Following a simple pattern you will learn the basics of cutting,fabric preperation, contruction,fitting,and finishing.
By the end of the course you will have a garment to wear and be proud of

Intermediate Sewing Lessons - Suits those with a moderate experience but would like to take their knowledge and finish to the next level
You will create a more complicated Garment of your choice!You will learn how to Follow a more complex pattern.
You will learn to elevate the fit of your Garment by learning how to create a Toile.
Learn how to achieve a better finish to your work
10 week course

Advanced Sewing Lessons - Suits experienced makers who would like to learn some specific couture skills and techniques
You will learn how to perfect your sewing taking your making to the next level. complex hand crafting and Couture skills including:French seams
Rolled Hems
Shell hem
Hand worked Button holes
Rouleaux loop trelis work
Decorative fastening-frog fastening
You will then incorporate some or of these techniques in a simple top that you have designed.The emphasis will be on the decorative finishing techniques that you have learned and how you use them to create a unique and lovely design.
